There was a time in my life when New Year's Eve used to be fun. It meant a holiday the day after. It meant that in 7 days I'm a year older. It meant a new year has started and maybe we can right the wrong we've done. Maybe we can make up for the things that we didn't do or should have done. It meant new hope. It meant starting again afresh. But how long does that last before we look back to another year gone and none has changed?
