♥ Jumbo Gumbo!
*yesterday*
A: What do you wanna do tomorrow?
S: We don't do anything out of the box anymore.
*crinkles her forehead*
S: I know! Let's cook! You pick me up and we can go grocery shopping and all!
A: What you wanna cook?
S: *thinks* Some sorta stew? *tries to remember the stew she saw Martha made*
A: Let's make Gumbo!
S: Yes! That's what it is!
*today*
I took a cab, to Hartamas.
Watched smut and trailers while waiting.
Released inhibitions.
Off we go to the supermarket, Citi Super at Damas!
Already 7p.m by then.
I love grocery shopping! Well any(almost) kinda shopping is good.
I was on hyper mode. Scaring a few other grocery shoppers as I go.
Came up to about RM100++.
Went home.
Chopped stuff. A lot of stuff. Tomatoes. Celery. Chicken. Sausages. Red pepper.
Shannon+knife= there are survivors.
I should cook more often. It's an exercise on it's own!
Chopping=tones arms.
Standing=tones legs
Stirring over boiling pot=tones arms and burns sweat.
Eating=pile on pounds!
Hmmm...Then again, maybe not.
It was fun!!!
Gumbo is African for Okra. The combination for Gumbo is endless!
Ours was something French. It has beer too! Wiki it and I'm sure you'll get a Gumbo recipe to your liking. I don't like okra so mine has none. NO two families cooks the same gumbo.
"A" doesn't like paparazzis so this blog is sans pictures.
