It was a hard long day. She was tired and hungry. She needed time to unwind so she pops in a DVD and had her dinner. It began to get cold. She took the comforter from his room. Reclined her seat. Fell asleep.
She woke up and was feeling uneasy. She was cold but heat was emitting from her skin and with cover over her, the heat reflected back to her skin as there were no escape. She crawls into his bed.
A hand touched her at the shoulder, and it gave an instant reflect of his face, of concern. High fever. Hands her an oblong pill then disappeared to the kitchen again. In his hands, a large bowl of ice with water and kitchen towel.
She took off her top. She took off her shorts. Sat on the covered toilet.
He dips the towel into the coldness and wrung it dry.
She feels an inexplicable coldness on her back as he place the towel over. Her chest, her thighs, her arms, her legs. She cringe every time the towel came in contact.
He cajole her to stay still and let him make her feel better. She did. With much whining. He kisses her better.
She loves him more than ever. She knows he feels it too.
