I was 9. I bought my first Hindi cassette sneakily with the help of my maid at a night market nearby.
Earlier that week, my school was having a talent show and I wanted to dance.
A week later, I practiced with a friend to 'Chaiyya Chaiyya'.
We won.
Who knew.
I am only 20.
